Twas The 10 Great Student Prep Ideas Before Christmas

Regardless of the time of year, every parent will recognize this:

"Twas the Night Before . . . (Christmas, Summer, Fall) Break and ALL thru the house not a student was stirring, not even a mouse."

Yes, this happened at my house, too.  I wanted them to have a bit of downtime, but I also wanted to keep them on a growth pattern.  

Today, more than ever, ever, our kids need to build their "edge".  

Let's reframe how we look at those amazing "break" days and get starting on their "edge".  

The gifts of days free of traditional school are just as described . . . gifts.  Those days don't come to we parents, of course.  So how can we help our kids capitalize on those day-gifts?  

Whether to earn extra money, to get ahead, to catch up, to add nuggets to their resume, it IS the perfect time to allow downtime AND sneak in that all important growing and learning we want them to have.
